Description
The Siglo II is only one inch longer than its counterpart Siglo I, but its size is still considered a petit Corona, which is also its factory name. It is a medium strength cigar. It is known for being an outsider when it comes to the Cohiba family but it is known for being unique and even feisty. The flavor or taste is spicy woodiness and many say delicious, even like a good cup of coffee. It also has a silky, smooth taste as well. It comes in a silky, oily wrapper. Most of those who smoke it will smoke it till it gets all the way down, many saying it is a finger burner. This would be the cigar to smoke when you either need a break from a long day or when sitting on the back porch enjoying the great outdoors. Cuba is known for being the place to get cigars. But like any other growing that needs to take place, there are certain places they will do well while other places they won't do so well. There are certain areas that are right for growing tobacco to be used in the Cohiba cigars. Along with that, there are certain farms that grow the leaves used for the wrappers and other farms used for the filler and binders. This allows the farmers to make sure they do a good job growing their particular tobacco plants. The Cohiba started back in the 1960's, although it didn't really start officially as a company until 1966. Fidel Castro was given one of these cigars early in the 1960's and they have since been the only cigars he will smoke or has available to be smoked when there are guests. They are also used as diplomatic gifts when necessary. Because of his enjoyment of these cigars a small factory was started to make these for him. As the business grew more and more factories were built. Each of the factories has a certain types of cigars that they make. This allows them to be able to make sure they are doing their best with each of the kinds or brands they make.
