History
The smoker of a Partagas cigar always wants the cigar smoke to be rich yet not too strong just like Ramon Cifuentes who is a legend as a master in the history of making cigars. The Partagas cigar made as per the rich tradition of Cuban cigars with the best wrappers from Cameroon invites you to enjoy the rich flavor it is made of. The quality and rich flavor of a Partagas cigar makes it very popular among cigar smokers. The people who made these Partagas cigars were imbibed with the attributes which are absolutely required for the cigars by Ramon Cifuentes and his father before him.
Ramon started making these cigars again in the Dominican Republic when he was exiled from Cuba and demanded that his new cigar makers follow the same principles while making the cigars. Background Daniel Nunez, who worked as an apprentice under Ramon in the Dominican Republic and succeeded him as the next master in the making of cigars, also demanded that the Partagas cigars be made with the same characteristics. The Partagas Black Label full sized cigar was introduced to the market by Daniel in 2001. The latest addition to the existing series of cigars is named Partagas Spanish Rosado which claims to be a cigar with the maximum richness in the world. The wrapper of this cigar derives its spicy cinnamon flavor from the soil of the valley in San Agustin where it is grown and leaves behind a beautiful white ash as it burns. All smokers who are serious about cigars should definitely smoke this cigar with its blend of Mexican, Dominican and Honduran tobaccos held together by a broadleaf binder from Connecticut.
The Partagas line of cigars has a version called Partagas Cifuentes Blend which is available in limited quantities. This cigar was blended by the Benji Menedez and Daniel Nunez, the proteges of Ramon, during the fall by following the same criteria set down by Ramon himself. The cigars called Cifuentes Seasonal Blend are made from Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos and a Medio-Tiempo wrapper from the Honduras. The Cifuentes family was the legendary Cuban manufacturers of the Partagas cigars and these cigars are named after them. The masters who made the Partagas cigars carried on a tradition spanning a century of making cigars that had distinctive characteristics and were unique compared to other cigars.
