The Punch Punch cigar was named after a renowned comic character of 19th century and the lithographed box of this cigar contains the picture of Mr. Punch displaying its classic generous personality on this line of vitola. Being a preeminent choice amongst British cigar smokers this brand turned out as a top of the bill cigar marquee for the manufacturing company leading to highest exports. The Punch Punch cigar was first made by a cigar maker named Stockmann. In 1844 the brand had two ownership changes the first one was by Louis Corujo which later was owned by M. L. Fernandez under his company name Palicio y Cia. The cigar even today comprises the name of Lopez Fernandez on every box of this gorgeous vitola. Between the years 1929 to late 1930 due to the Stock Market Crash the massive financial hardship was faced by Cuban Cigar Industry resulting in again ownership shifting of the Punch cigars. The cigar brand was finally sold to Villazon & Co. who till today manages the manufacturing of Punch line of cigars.
